Adam Welch

Adam Welch is an artist and curator who has exhibited regionally and internationally. During his tenure as curator at Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts his approach to selection, display and context reflect a maker’s sensibility, including a deep knowledge of fabrication and installation techniques, while also employing art historical and modern theory in artist-to-artist critique in the service of the exhibitions. Since 2009, he has curated over 50 solo/collaborative and 13 group exhibitions. In this time frame he has also overseen and organized over 30 group showings of regional associations and guilds and solo exhibits of internationally recognized artists.
