Created over a week during the international manhunt for Julian Assange, Leaky World is a playable interpretation of the essay “Conspiracy as Governance” penned by the founder of Wikileaks. The manifesto describes contemporary power as an international network where information is secretly exchanged between corporate and state entities. For Assange leaks are not only exposing instances of corruption but also disrupting the normal functioning of the conspiratorial network.
In Leaky World the player takes the role of an abstract power, weaving a web of conspiracies and disconnecting the leaking nodes.
The game references actual headlines related to recent scandals.
