Adam Welch

CURATOR BIO

Adam Welch is an artist and curator who has exhibited regionally and internationally. During his tenure as Curator at Pittsburgh Filmmakers/Pittsburgh Center for the Arts his approach to selection, display and context reflect a maker’s sensibility, including a deep knowledge of fabrication and installation techniques, while also employing art historical and modern theory in artist-to-artist critique in the service of the exhibitions. Since 2009, he has curated over 50 solo/collaborative and 13 group exhibitions. In this timeframe he has also overseen and organized over 30 group showings of regional associations and guilds and solo exhibits of internationally recognized artists.
